Q2.How do I make a reservation and how far in advance must I reserve a tour?

A2: You can make a reservation directly from this site, or if you need information right away, please call us at 03-3435-6081 between 9 A.M. and 6:30 P.M.
You can also join any tour at the last minute if seats are still available. Please call us beforehand and we can give you the most current information.

Q3.When do I pay for the tour?

A3: You can pay on the day of the tour.
Please pay at the Hato Bus Hamamatsucho Office reception counter on the day of the tour. We accept both credit cards and cash. You can also pay for your ticket when you make a reservation at any of our Hato Bus branch offices.

Q4.I am worried that I won’t be able to find the departure place from my hotel....

A4: We offer a free pick-up service at most major hotels throughout the city.
If you reserve your tour in advance, we can pick you up at any major Tokyo hotel. For more details, please take a look at our Pick-up Service description. At the end of your tour, we can also drop you off at the same hotel with our Drop-off Service. Feel free to take advantage of both services to make your day even more enjoyable. (Some courses do not offer Pick-up/Drop-off Services.)

Q5.Will I fully enjoy the tour even if I don’t speak any Japanese?

A5: No worries! Each English tour is lead by a nationally certified interpreter-guide.
The entire guided tour is conducted completely in English. So even first-time visitors to Japan can sit back and relax, and enjoy the day with colorful descriptions of all the sights in English!

Q6.I am a vegetarian…is it possible to get a vegetarian meal on the tour?

A6: No problem! We are happy to take any special meal requests.
For tours that include a meal, the guide will ask if anyone has any special meal requests at the start of the tour. We aim to provide a meal that pleases you as well as meets your special requirements—whether you are a vegetarian or have special restrictions due to religion, etc (The choice of menu varies with each tour course. We will do our best to meet special requests within these menus).

Q7.Do you have any tours going to Nikko or Kamakura?

A7: Hato Bus does not offer tours to these locations.
However, JTB Sunrise Tours does offer such courses. Please click here for more information. (Link to tours of areas around Tokyo.)

Q8.Are the buses non-smoking?

A8: Yes, all of our buses are completely non-smoking.
We expect cooperation from all passengers as there is no smoking permitted on any bus. In addition, some of the sites visited on the tours are also non-smoking. Please remain aware of these areas.

Q9.Can I leave the tour while it is still in progress?

A9: Yes. You can leave the tour at any time we are stopped at a specific location.
